Jose is an international investment manager and entrepreneur. His career in business and finance has included leadership roles at ING and Merrill Lynch in Switzerland and Citibank in Puerto Rico, as well as managing family office assets and multiple private investment funds in various jurisdictions. He currently divides his time between Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Puerto Rico. He is a member of the Investment Committee of the Endowment for the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome, and a Board Member of the environmental advocacy group Friends of the Big Sioux River. He is a past President of the Santa Clara Monastery Foundation in Cidra, helping build a new convent in Puerto Rico, and Board Member of the Center for Advanced Studies of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, a post-graduate university. Jose has been cooperator of the Opus Dei since 2003. Jose is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying sailing, fishing, and hiking with his family. He and his wife Joni have six children.
